Why did they add role queue?
Role-queue was a long-requested feature back in the original Overwatch that aimed to balance team compositions by forcing players to queue as either tank, DPS, or support to create a well-rounded team.
Role-queue will be coming to the live game on Tuesday, August 13 alongside a slew of balance changes to better enhance the game given the role restrictions.
In Overwatch 2's role queue system, teams are locked into having one Tank, two Damage and two Supports. As reported by Kotaku, this has lead to long queue waiting times for Damage players especially, with many unwilling to try playing Support or even Tank heroes to benefit their teams.
One of the main causes for these long queue times is because the game's services have been under attack since it launched. According to tweets from the game director, Overwatch 2 has been under a "distributed denial of service," or DDoS, attack since the game launched.
The most played role in LoL would be the mid lane. Most of the time, this is the lane on which the game is decided. It has the most map control and play making aspects. It's also more prone to jungle ganks if you dont ward properly.
If you are getting a "Waiting in Queue" notification in Fortnite when you attempt to begin a match, this is because of the huge number of players that request to join a game at the same time.
There are 4 main roles in Overwatch: Defense, Offense, Support, and Tank.
At the end of the day, Support players inherently have the toughest role to fill in Overwatch 2.
The reason is that some people were ranting about 2CP and those two specific maps for a very long time. Overwatch is a game that enables the community to nerf / remove anything from the original game if you spam complaints on a daily basis.
But fundamentally, Overwatch is moving to a free-to-play model. A new battle pass and a new unlockable hero each season like Apex Legends. Existing players/Overwatch 1 owners should have access to all the original Overwatch heroes when they start Overwatch 2.

As Overwatch 2 struggles with errors and controversy, Bastion and Torbjörn have been removed for an unknown amount of time to fix bugs.
Mei Mei. Following Overwatch 2's fairly shambolic release that involved targeted DDoS attacks, Blizzard has reported interruptions this week to Battle.net via a further DDOS attack, causing login issues.
The ADC role is the third most played and popular role in League of Legends right now, although it is actually pretty close in popularity to the support role. It is not a role that you should take if you are a new player or you have a hard time doing what is known as "kiting".
The difficulty of achieving such map presence and activity is immense, and the Mid Lane is regarded as one of the most difficult to master. The best players in the game have all been Mid Laners, and it truly is a particular part of the map.
1. Jungle. The Jungle is the hardest role in League of Legends and everybody can agree that they have the most responsibilities and the most consequences for their actions.
Fortnite also has skill-based matchmaking (SBBM), released in season X. Skill-based matchmaking in Fortnite has been an evolving mechanic for some time, occasionally causing backlash from the community.
While trying to launch Fortnite, you will sometimes see a 'Waiting in Queue' error, and this is normal. Do not panic, as these scary words only mean that the Fortnite servers are full. Or the number of players connected exceeds the computing capacity of the Fortnite servers.
Who is the number 1 player in Overwatch?
The Junker Queen is one of Overwatch 2's brand new characters, and being the leader of Junkertown, she's related to Junkrat and Roadhog, two of the series' most iconic heroes. For over a decade, the Junker Queen has ruled over Junkertown, an impressively large scrapyard located in the Australian Outback.
Opinions on Overwatch 2's DPS characters can vary wildly, but Symmetra, Junkrat, and Torbjörn are generally found at the bottom of most DPS tier lists.
Amid fallout from Activision Blizzard lawsuit. Overwatch's fan-favourite cowboy character Jesse McCree finally has a new name after Activision Blizzard committed to changing it in the wake of California's ongoing lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and a "frat boy" culture at the company.
The change happened due to a shift at Blizzard following reports of sexual harassment and toxicity in leadership. The new moniker is meant to distance the gunslinger from now-fired Blizzard game designer Jesse McCree, the character's namesake, who was terminated after the outcry over a toxic culture.
Liao made Echo as an adaptive robot in an attempt to use artificial life to make positive changes in the world. Since her passing, Echo has kept many of the doctor's mannerisms and behaviors. This is the reason McCree sought her out in the Reunion cinematic.
For players who have collected hard-earned cosmetics in the original Overwatch, it's good to know that beloved skins can be transferred to the newly released sequel, Overwatch 2 by merging your account. Here's everything you need to know about how to transfer your skins to Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 1 players will have access to all the skins, voice lines and other cosmetics they unlocked in the original game. They will also get access to new Support hero Kiriko immediately. New players who buy the premium Season 1 Battle Pass will get immediate access to Kiriko too.
Not to mention, the extra 2,000 Overwatch 2 coins essentially pays for the next two season's Premium Battle Passes should you choose to save them – meaning even more Legendary skins and exclusive content. In short, if you love Overwatch – yeah, it's totally worth it.
Yes, Overwatch 2 is pay to win until you unlock all the heroes or purchase them. You see, in ranked play, counterplay is extremely important. You can't expect to be winning matches if you are stuck playing the same hero.
Is Overwatch 2 a true sequel?
Overwatch 2 is a 2022 first-person shooter by Blizzard Entertainment. As a sequel to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game intends a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) modes while introducing persistent cooperative modes. A major change in PvP modes was to reduce team sizes from six to five.
The original Overwatch will shut down ahead of the Overwatch 2 release. We've known for a while now that Overwatch 2 will debut on October 4 and replace the original game entirely. Now, Blizzard has revealed that the switch won't happen instantly — it will kill off Overwatch a while before Overwatch 2 goes live.
Overwatch 2 adopts the seasonal Battle Pass model that competitors like Fortnite, Valorant and Apex Legends use, selling players a subscription for unlockable perks like skins and voice lines. Controversially, I actually like the Battle Pass model in theory.
"It's almost absolutely 100% certain all of the PvE elements in Overwatch 2 will be paid in some way," Stylosa said during a video on the topic.
However, the game itself is completely free and all the PvP modes can be accessed and enjoyed as soon as you download the game. This is no different on any platform, so it is completely free to install Overwatch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
ORIGINAL REPORT: Unlike previous Activision Blizzard games - such as Destiny, Call of Duty or Diablo - the original Overwatch's servers are being shutdown on Monday, 3rd October ahead of the free-to-play sequel.
Overwatch 1's servers have been taken offline and the game is officially dead. The original Overwatch game launched in 2016, but it is being completely replaced by its sequel, the upcoming Overwatch 2. In preparation for the sequel's launch, Blizzard has shut down the Overwatch 1 servers.
But one game mode that has been removed for the sequel might have flown under the radar for those preoccupied with the new content. That game mode is Assault - better known in the Overwatch community as Two Control Point (2CP).
Overwatch 2 will be a free-to-play experience, so the easy answer to the “what will Overwatch 2 cost” question is that when the game comes out on October 4, you'll be able to queue for a match without paying a dime. However, while the gameplay is free, there will be options for players to buy in-game goodies.
The biggest change is arguably that the developers have moved Overwatch's 6v6 format to a 5v5 one in Overwatch 2, removing one tank hero from each team since many fans frequently complained about how oppressive damage mitigation abilities like barriers could be when spammed by two players.

With Role Queue, we're updating the matchmaking and queuing systems in Competitive Play and Quick Play so that players choose which role they want to play—tank, support, or damage—before a match even begins.
To reduce stress on the Diablo® II: Resurrected™ servers and help with a more stable gaming experience during peak times the Development team has implemented a login-queue system.
Role queue has more serious players and is the official comp mode, so being good there means you're good. Being good in open queue doesn't necessarily mean that. That being said, it sounds like you would prefer open queue, so go for it then.
ROLE-QUEUE had became a place for newbies or inexperience players to have their game playing while CLASSIC had became a place for most smurfs or booster players to have their game playing.
The ADC role is one of the most challenging roles in League of Legends because of the number of champions in the bottom lane. This can make it hard to learn the role. By playing easier champions to begin with, you can focus on other things in the lane rather than your mechanics.
Diablo 2 is not harder than Diablo 3. Diablo 3 actually has a scaling endgame which adds an increasing amount of difficulty. Diablo 2 ends at 85. Diablo 2 has less customization than Diablo 3.
"No, absolutely not," D2R principal designer Rob Gallerani replied. "Everything you have about D2 currently will stay D2. This is a separate product, separate game. You can play 'em both at the same time if you want."
Is gambling worth it in Diablo 2?
Gambling is not only a fun way to spend your gold, it is also the best way in game to get certain types of items. It isnt supervaluable in terms of efficiency (high runes/hours) but it does offer you the option to quickly gain large amount of magic / rare items.
The champions on the mid lane are quite independent, and they are the ones who have to wait for the opportunity to help their teammates on the top or bottom lane. The second best position behind Mid is Jungle.
The ranked solo/duo queue is considered the “main” queue in League of Legends. This simply means that people are generally more serious about solo queue than ranked flex queue. As a result, solo queue provides a more formidable challenge, with many skilled players battling for the number one spot.
You lose 50 SR for leaving yes but you also get nothing back if you return to a match.
Dota 2 has both published and hidden MMRs that come into play when it comes to the game's match coordinator. Under ideal circumstances, all 10 players matched together in a game of Dota 2 will have similar MMRs. The game branches out the number of possible MMRs as queue times increase.
In the case of the player that was waiting for over an hour and a half, Hill says that a combination of “a very high ranked duo stack, searching on a lower population server, in unranked” lead to the long wait time. You can find Hill's full explainer below.
Crusader (1,540-2,156 MMR)
Crusader is the tier where players start studying the game.
